Cleaning machines offer little help to sanitary workers at Central Station
Railway authorities produce a list of sophisticated cleaning machines they have purchased to prove how they have done away with manual scavenging. But, not a single sanitary worker could be spotted using any of them.
Most of them were seen removing excreta on the tracks with brooms and metal plates. Health officers maintain that workers only used water jets to clear excreta and directed them into nearby channels which emptied into the drains. But this arrangement was not found working efficiently.
Sanitary workers told The Hindu hose pipes supplying water often leaked and the force generated was not sufficient for cleaning operations. In the end, they have to only use brooms and metal plates for scraping the dirt.
Even the channels conducting waste into the drains are not well-dug and water mixed with excreta stagnates in them. The workers have to drag their brooms along the channels to clear them.
For now, the Chennai Central has about 30 sanitary workers employed on a contractual basis in Zone I (platform 1-6). Zone II (platforms 7-12) is cleaned by close to 40 railway employees. Of this, only two persons are engaged for removing excreta piled on a single track, says a senior sanitary worker. This is an enormous task, considering the tracks are 600 m long.
None of the sanitary workers are provided gloves, gum boots or masks while cleaning. They say they are not even provided a soap to bathe with after work.
Many of them suffer from skin allergies and other occupational hazards. Also, sanitary workers on contract get exploited for labour. For a 12-hour shift they are paid a measly Rs. 40 a day.
Lack of adequate public sanitation facilities is to be blamed for this state of affairs. For a station that sees nearly two lakh visitors a day, the Chennai Central has only two pay-and-use toilet complexes for public use.
Railway authorities point out that there are more toilets available in the waiting rooms on the first floor. But then again, the station has no sign boards to tell visitors where they are.
And anyways, why would someone pay to answer nature’s call when toilets inside trains waiting on platforms are available for use? The public blissfully ignore notice boards that discourage them from doing so.
A sanitary worker told The Hindu that Charminar Express, which pulls into the Chennai Central by around 8 am, serves as a free toilet for several early morning office-goers. “It takes us an hour to clean up the mounds of waste from its toilets,” he says.
The Railway authorities responsible for sanitation blame “beggars, urchins and those who roam aimlessly inside the station” for dirtying train toilets and tracks. But, the sanitary workers say that a large number of passengers boarding trains in the morning use train toilets.
The authorities blame the contractors for the plight of sanitary workers saying they are ill-equipped for the job. However, sources say the problem lies with issuing low value tenders for sanitary work as professional contractors would not come forward in such cases.
N. Penchalaiah, general secretary of All India Safai Mazdoor Congress said, “I am tired of pleading the authorities to find a workable solution for the sanitation problem. As long as there is someone to do the dirty job for them, they don’t care.”

Mass Conversions
-15,018 persons converted in single day in Ongole
-10,000 churches planned in 2005 alone, by just one group,
the Seventh Day Adventists.
Kyle Fiess, Maranatha (Org for building churches) marketing director reports:
"We were astonished when Ron Watts (head of Seventh Day Adventists) presented us
with a proposal for 10,000 churches in India…After many experiences like the one in
Ongole, we no longer consider 10,000 churches to be an unrealistic goal, but an
unparalleled opportunity”.

article has links to may missionary websites.
In 1998, the Seventh Adventist Church reported 225,000 members. In 2005, the numbers reached 825,000. “Most of the people in the villages are from a Hindu background, so it was gratifying to see so many people accepting Jesus," said Stenbakken (Seventh Day Adventist). This much conversion by just one organization. There are several other organizations working in parallel.
Goal of 100 Million Hindu Converts
- Declared by Reverend Pat Robertson in Dallas Christian Conclave in Oct 2005
Worldwide Goal of One Billion Declared in the same conclave, to make up for losses in Europe Christian Population of India: 10% - Many do not reveal the true situation fearing loss of reservation status
- Churches do not want to raise alarm bells
- Christian population of Andhra: 6.96%

- At this rate, Andhra Pradesh could become Christian in a decade or less
- Tamil Nadu could be up to 28%

Destruction of Hindu Institutions
Andhra: TIRUPATI Attempt to take over 5 out of 7 Sacred Temple Hills for Churches, Casinos & Tourism Andhra Government, under
Christian CM (YSR), attempted to take over 5 out of 7 hills for tourism. (Even 800 years muslim rules and 200 years British rule did not touch this sacred place).
- 3000 acres of temple land for distribution in the name of social justice for more votes in Andhra Pradesh.
- Timely intervention by Hindu saints stopped this attempt. Tirupati Declaration is available on the Internet
Andhra – Looting of TTD & other State Temple Properties March 2006, demolished 1000 Pillar Mandapam
Charge that 85% of TTD revenues transferred to state exchequer was not denied by the State Government
Jan 2005,YSR Announced the sponsorship of Hockey Tournament with TTD money on his parents’ names.
JRG Wealth Mgmt, a Christian Org. was contracted to procure Prasadam for TTD ALL OVER ANDHRA, THOUSANDS OF ACRES OF TEMPLE LANDS ARE SOLD OUT. This will completely cripple the temples economically
Andhra - Treatment of Minority Institutions
Allocation of Rs. 1.5 crores for construction of each new church. Rs. 80,000 for each church’s repairs & renovations

YSR Reddy’s Son Blows up Hindu Temple in Andhra Y. Samuel R. Reddy’s Son Blows up Hindu Temple in Anantapur - Andhra Jyothi, (Telugu Newspaper)
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy once again publicly affirmed his family's intolerance towards the Hindu religion by blowing up the Sunkulamma Temple in Obullapuram Village in Anantapur District. Jagan and his friend Janardhan
Reddy used powerful bombs and grounded the Temple which is highly revered by the locals. Though some Congressmen claimed that Jagan did that as part of his illegal iron mining business, questions are being raised about whether he would have blown up a church under similar circumstances.
Looting of Temple Money by Politicians CASE STUDY: KARNATAKA, 2002
Total number of Temples: 207,000
Total collections at the Temples: 72 Crores
Money spent on Temple Upkeep: 6 Crores

-- Report by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar & India Today
Maharashtra Proposal to Take Over Four Lakh Temple Trusts (Mosques Excluded)
MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, November 13, 2006: The Maharashtra government is proposing legislation which will empower the state to take over all religious shrines. If the legislation is enacted it will place all Hindu, Jain, Christian and Buddhist shrines
under government control. The law, however, makes no mention of Aukaf land (Muslim religious bequests) which are located all over the state.
This is the first step in the systematic destruction of Hindu institutions in Maharashtra (similar to AP)
State Looting and Bloated Bureaucracies
State Governments own most of the Hindu Temples (by way of Temple Endowment Boards) whereas Mosques and Churches have complete autonomy.
- 15% of temple income is used just to pay the salaries of the 70,000 employees of the Endowment Board in AP.
- In a period of 5 years, 50,000 (25%) temples closed for want of funds. Priests do not want to train their children anymore - Report by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
- Contrast this with just one Seventh Day Adventist Group’s plan to build 10,000 churches in India in just one year (2005).
Missionary Planning
An Empire of Unprecedented Scale & Planning, with little scruples. “Per 1989 data, globally, churches spend 145 billion dollars, command four million full time workers, run 13,000 libraries, publish 22,000 periodicals and four billion tracts a year, operate 1,890 radio and TV stations. There are a quarter million foreign missionaries, over 400 institutions to train them.”

Aggressively push Christianity by buying up prime time slots for sermons on TV.
- All out effort to stop Hindu devotional programs. Attack on Eenadu has a lot to do with telecast of Hindu devotional programs.
- Use the media to dilute Hindu faith. An example is the recent show, Jyothi of Sabarimalai on NDTV, questioning the Hindu faith.
This is a key step required before carrying out illegal mass conversions with deception and untruth
Convert Popular People in Society
E.g., Telugu actors Jayaprada and Jaya Sudha are converted. Many others are being targeted and converted.
Buy out the Politicians
- Apparently many politicians or their spouses are converted using very large sums of money. Specifics are hard to get because they do not change their name or way of dress. One thing for sure, the silence of many politicians cannot be other than that bought with money. (There are hearsays but cannot be confirmed is that leading people or their spouses in BJP, TDP,, Congress are converted).
Use of Raw Muscle & Money Power
- Eyewitness accounts relate how village musclemen are recruited, and money power used, to systematically convert village after village, in specific pockets of India such as coastal Andhra.
Ward off resistance from Hindu organizations By engineering news of attack using media as a tool.
E.g., Baripada Incident in Orissa: News that was splashed all over the media and the Internet, that a Hindu fundamentalist raped a nun, was found to be totally fabricated, upon later investigation. However, the media does not even bother to publish later findings. The initial news items are still being used to get more money from Churchgoers in West. Many such cases are engineered or full of lies. -- Source: Arun Shourie, Harvesting our Souls
Defame any Hindu Saint that resists
Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati’s arrest on framed-up charges has a lot to do with his efforts in bringing Dalits into the Hindu fold by building Hindu temples in Dalit areas and engaging in discussions with them. (To this day no evidence
was found against him) -- Source: NS Raja Ram articles
Destroy Hinduism Completely by Converting Targeted Populations Joshua Project Thessalonica- No More Hindu Temples and Celebrations Seek out and convert temple building masons and architects, so that no new Temples can ever be built in the world. Convert people involved in the Hindu festival (e.g. Kumbh Mela) infrastructure, such as boatsmen, etc., so that devotees will be so inconvenienced as not to come for such Melas. -- Source: Croatian newspaper (www.crusadewatch.org)
Destroy any organization that supports Hinduism
- IDRF, which funds humanitarian projects, some led by the Sangh Parivar, was deprived of all corporate matching funds by spreading false news to US corporations. - Source: lots on the Internet
Garner the support of powerful politicians and bureaucrats- NS Rajaram, a well known historian, says that missionaries have the tacit support of Sonia Gandhi (nee Antonia Maino, a Roman Catholic). YSR would not be so brazen but for that support. Institutional Anti-Hinduism of the UPA (led by Sonia) must have a lot to do with this.
- All close confidants of Sonia are Christians and it is said that there are 5 Christian Chief Ministers in India today.
- Foreigners are providing strategy planning for Sonia/UPA today.
- NS Rajaram & others
Defame our Revered Hindu Gods, Saints, Leaders and Scriptures Reinterpret traditional stories of our saints and scriptures to spread false stories. Many interpretations implicate sexual impropriety on our Gods, saints and leaders.
Some examples:-
Ramakrishna Paramahamsa: Homosexual
Mahatma Gandhi: Sexual pervert who spend life cleaning latrines
Sai Baba: Homosexual
Vivekananda: Attempt at seduction charge when in the US
Jayendra Saraswati: Improper relationships with a woman
Deepak Chopra: Extra-marital relationship
Fool the gullible with Hindu religious practices, customs.- Missionaries wear Sadhu dresses, perform arati, and burn incense, to give impression that very little has changed
- A prayer hall in Kerala has meditating Jesus in Padmasana posture! Adoption of Hindu arts and culture for their own ends (Acculturation)
- Recently Vatican was given Bharata Natyam performance of Christ birth!
- Christian Yoga where names of asanas are changed and no trace of Hinduism kept.
- Right to use a bore well pump in front of church (placed with Government money) requires conversion. Called Jesus Wells, this is targeted at drought areas.
- During disasters, goods are given to the suffering victims subject to agreeing to convert. (For e.g., a boat is given to a fisherman who is a Tsunami victim only if he agrees to convert).
- "This Tsunami disaster is one of the greatest opportunities God has given us to share his love with people," said K.P. Yohannan, president of the Texas-based Gospel for Asia.
- "I'm not here to do relief work," said John. His calling was missionary work, he admitted. "They are looking for answers," he said of the disaster victims, whom he described as particularly good candidates for conversion. - from a candid Missionary in Indonesia after the Tsunami disaster
Source:http://www.inminds.co.uk/tsunami.html
False and deceptive stories to create fear and force conversion
Missionaries target the gullible and the poor:- Tell them that their worship of Hindu forms is the worship of the Devil or Satan
- Create among them a great fear of Hell Tell them that they are poor because they did not convert
-- Source: Arun Shourie, Harvesting our Souls
Use of established Christian institutions as new venues for conversion
- Christian schools and teachers’ colleges in some areas demanding conversion for getting admitted
- Bible is openly read to children in these schools
- Children going to Christian schools with Hindu customs are discouraged (Recent example of a child in a Hyderabad school being beaten by his teacher for wearing kumku
Precise demographic and other data Missionaries have precise demographic data on every village, the main obstacles for conversion, etc. They print literally millions of books in every language of India (the biggest such publishing house is deceptively named ‘Om Publishing
Source: Arun Shourie, Harvesting Our Souls
Use the converted to gain more converts & even encourage them destroy Hindu institutions- Converted person is told to demonstrate that they are truly converted by getting others to convert. More people they convert, more their faith!
- Converts are even encouraged to destroy temples See http://www.jesusfilm.org/progress/australia.html?type=regular&id=330 )

In depth Studies Ph.D. Thesis on how to convert Forward Caste Hindus (184 Pages)
Abstract
… Of particular concern to this study is the application of Church Planting Movement strategy to forward caste Hindus of India… The paper concludes that the best approach to facilitating a Church Planting ovement among forward caste Hindus is by not planting churches. Source (with full thesis): http://www.crusadewatch.org
Legitimizing Conversion- Missionaries are now demanding constitutional changes to provide converts the same status as Scheduled and Backward Caste Hindus
- Many converts retain Hindu names and identities fearing the loss of their reservation status
Source: http://www.crusadewatch.org
Fundamental Premises
- Do whatever is necessary with the Power of Money and Organization, albeit with Deception and Lies, to increase their numbers and therefore the power of the Church
- Their methods go against the very teachings of Jesus that they claim to be promoting – End justifies the Means
It should be noted that there is genuine service performed by some missionaries that are helping those ignored by the country, but this is due to the altruistic spirit of those individuals. Church has little interest in them other than that they becomesymbols of good Public Relations and help bring in more converts.
Church interest in service is for conversions, period. Their interest in India is because of dwindling church attendance in Europe and the need for a fresh crop of followers, clergy, etc.
There are thousands of non-Christian NGO’s providing service in India that get little attention. And they do not try to convert and provide service irrespective of religious affiliation).
If only Missionaries are true to Jesus
1.Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2.For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3.Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

My doors are always open for you guys to voice your concerns, if it is not adequately resolved by your immediate supervisor or Manager.
Incase if I'm not available or otherwise feel free to reach out to Deepak (in CC) Who is our talent manager to voice your concerns
I'd like to re-iterate that DW culture is a transparent & open door culture and no associate should hesitate to approach any appropriate person to get their issues resolved.
I rely on all of you to continue the tradition.

Subhash,
First and foremost, we need to understand that Mart R&D DL is not the forum for airing personal views. This DL is meant for sharing knowledge within our group to aid the associates enhance their skills and perform better on the job.
As much as I do not want to respond to the entire group, it is intended to help associates understand their responsibilities towards the organization and our customers.
· Onsite roles are extremely critical in establishing a strong relationship with our clients. There are many other qualities that are expected from an associate besides technology competency. Good communication skills, maturity and responsibility are some of the key factors for succeeding in onsite roles. You need to introspect on where you are with respect to the capabilities that are expected for an onsite role to equip yourself better and to succeed in your career aspirations.
· The organization provides equal opportunities to its associates to pursue their aspirations. Onsite travel at the minimum requires a visa. Your are well aware that your visa was rejected post your first interview. Despite this we have re-applied for your visa and the second visa interview is scheduled for November.
· 60 days of notice period is a company policy which every one is required to abide. Any lesser notice period is not a matter of right and cannot be planned without customers' interests in consideration. While we try to accommodate associates interests wherever possible, the Customer and Organization interests are paramount.
· Cognizant's strength lies on a strong foundation focused towards our customer's interests. This is expected to be part of every associate's culture rather than the manager alone
The escalation channels made available are your immediate supervisor, the Project Manager, the Practice Head or HR. I encourage associates to use the options / resources available in the system to get their concerns addressed appropriately.
Regards,
Usha Rangarajan

Subject: Please bare some time.... Please read
Hi All,
Please don't think this is the waste of time. Please read.
First of all I like to introduce myself, my full name is Bathala Subhash Babu working for JPMC - GDW Project for last one and half year. Actually I have joined from Wipro to Cognizant the only reason is for Onsite opportunity. While joining from Wipro, our HRs told that within 3 months there will be onsite opportunity, for this I don't have any written proof. But I can give the virtual proof for this. How means, I joined with a salary hike of 4% with the same position as in Wipro. Many of the guys will see whether they are getting good salary or good position or onsite opportunity, In my case I didn't got good salary or good position. This is the first time I have been fooled in Cognizant. I am not blaming the HRs I understand the intention to get the resources from a good company.
I have waited for one year and I have resigned to Cognizant on March 03 2005. With in minutes Anita(Who is CCed), my APM has come to me and called for discussion. We discussed for one hour, In that discussion "I believed that I will be sending for onsite within Short time". In the below forwarded mail, you can see these words in my final mail to Anita. Before taking back the resignation, once again I called Anita and I reminded her that I am loosing the very good opportunity. Due to this I lost very good offer from IGATE with 45% hike and position higher than Cognizant. you can find this offer letter as an attachment.
In July 2005 I went to meet Anita and asked when are you going to relieve from this project first, She told it will be in the middle of Nov 2005, that too it will be the minimum date, she is telling. This is the second time I have been fooled in Cognizant. I really frustrated. Once again I got very good offer and final time I have resigned. September 02 2005 I will be finishing two months notice period here. But the joining date I got from the company where I am going to join is August 07th. I discussed with the joining company to extend the joining date, they told that they can extend upto 22nd August, after that the offer will go invalid. I tried very much to convince them to extend the joining date, but they didn't. I don't know what to do.
I thought of discussing for 10 days earlier release with Anita. I went for discussing the same but She told that she is not responsible for this, she told to meet Usha(Who is CCed), who is a Senior PM for us. I explained every thing about my situation to Usha and requested for 10 days earlier release. She told, She can't relieve 10 days earlier. I have Pleased her for many times, begged like beggar and literally cried, still she said 'NO'. I asked the reason why she is so strong saying 'NO'. She given the reason, the new resource should feel comfort on my KT and client should feel comfort on the new resource. I asked if the new resource wouldn't feel comfort on Sep 02, she told as per policy you will be released. Shockingly, not yet she has identified the new resources. I don't know after reading this sentence she may come and tell "Who told she didn't identified the resources", but n?ormal procedure is, if the new resource is identified, Anita will come and introduce to the team. This didn't happen, that means still new resource is not identified. If the KT is problem, I told that one of our team member will take responsible for the KT for 10 days. For this also she told 'NO'. She told that they are new to the project. I confused with the word new because one of my team member has joined 5 to 6 months back. I am 100% sure that, a new person can work easily in our project with the guidance of any of the team member. This thing you can check with anybody in my project. That to I am in the project for SIRs work not in Production support. So there will be no problem without me for 10 days. You can check this with my client, Whose name is Shant and his mail ID is shant.karakashian@jpmchase.com. That to new resource has to be identified and he or she has to undergo the client interview, clients has to be satisfied with him or her. All these events are dependent. Another thing she simply told was, If she is unable to identify the new resource on or before Sep 02nd, She told that 'I should not blame her'.
Another thing she is telling, company policy, to stay up to two months. Within 20 days one of my friend has been relieved from Cognizant. His name is Mani Prasad and cell no is 9880126465. If anybody likes to talk with him about this, they can. I like to remember one fact "Policy is for People but People is not for Policy".
Apart from all this, In worst, I have explained that I have wife and 11 months bady,so please don't put us on roads, for this she simply said "That is your problem". After hearing these words really I don't know how to react. These words will prove she don't have the human values first. She want to do the business for 10 days also, in fact in this 10 days, only 7 days are working days because we have Saturday, Sunday and 26th holiday too.
In spite of fooled here, I have Please, Begged, and literally cried, She said the word 'NO'. And that too I am sincerer and working hard, this thing you can check with Kasiviswanathan, Ramanathan (108277), who is my before PL.
One thing I can say, Usha is doing business on my dead body because now I am physical present, not mentally.
We didn't had any arduous discussion, always I pleased her.
All these discussion and tension for me is for only 10 days before release date. I like to ask one question to all of you, Can't Cognizant do me the very small favour, releasing me 10 days before??????
I request all the PMs, Please save the human values rather than given preference to business.
In all above discussion, for some I showed the proof but for some I didn't. As per my knowledge all the above are true, I am promising the same on my 11 months baby.
I like to request you all one thing, If anyone like to talk with us, Please don't call individual, I may tell positive in my manner, they may tell positive in there manner. Please call us together, we will discuss.
If anybody still think I have to stay for Sep 02nd, yes I will be present but only physical presence.
Really I am very much unsatisfied while going from Cognizant.
Thank you very much to all being patience for hearing my inner feeling about my situation.
As a team member I like to share my feelings with you. If anyone feels this is waste of time. I feel sorry for this.
Thanks and Regards,
Subhash.
PS: For HRs information, I have 16 days vacation leaves and 8 days sick leaves.

As discussed, your aspiration for onsite opportunities will be taken care. As I told you we are in the process of initiating the Visa Processing for all the eligible persons of our team and we will be planning a gradual release from the current assignments.
Meanwhile as I advised you can learn one more ETL tool and a OLAP tool and strengthen yourself.
Kindly revert your decision and mail us about that.
